Chloe

Today I shared a funny and romantic engagement story with my friend Chloe. Chloe chuckled but got sad a few minutes later. She told me that she really wants to be engaged, married, and have children by her age now.... she had planned to have a family of her own all along but about 18 mos ago, her heart was broken by someone whom she believed she was going to spend the rest of her life with. There was no reason given from the guy with whom she spent the past 4 years with. She can't move on, and it has been 18 mos... All she is looking for is someone to complete her, to fill her life, and to hold.

Her conclusion: men are jerks!!

How do you help a friend to mend a broken heart?

It adds up

Sometimes I wonder why people would be okay with buying lunch every single day. No, they are not that expensive but it adds up day after day. I would much prefer to bring my own lunch (much less costly) and spend my hard earned money on clothing, makeup, mortgage...etc. I am sure any logical mind would claim that this is much smarter but I do feel bad turning down invitations to 'get lunch' except special occassions.

should I be embarrassed that I don't have extravagant luncheons?

Driving on the highway

Have you ever had the experience where you are driving on the left most lane and trying to go a bit faster to pass the very slow vehicle on your right? And Have you tried to get in front of the other 'speed limit maintaining' vehicle so that you can pass?

What typically happens is that the 'speed limit maintaining' vehicle all of a sudden speeds up in order to prevent you from passing... is this human nature? is it okay to drive a bit slower than the speed limit on the fast lane but go as FAST AS YOU CAN when you see that someone is about to pass you? Why is that? I can't help but wonder the 'human nature' that gets revealed on highway driving.

Stephanie

One of my cousins introduced the 'blog' concept to me awhile ago. She had since gone through a life transformation - well, she quit her job and started traveling around the world. Her blogs indicate that she is looking for something, something that is able to complete her. It has been awhile since she left the country... I can't help by wondering where she is and how she is doing. And I would love to know what it is that her soul is searching for? perhaps the one soul mate that we all believe in? or perhaps it is just time that she needs to heal from all of her prior relationships before she can start over, or perhaps?

My dear cousin, I am thinking of you!

What completes me....

There is this perfect man that I am so fortunate to have by my side. He is funny, intelligent, and has the biggest heart in the world. We took this photo (in my profile) exactly two years ago - the night before our wedding at Tahoe.

Yeah, about our wedding, we had about 28 people total (including the both of us) and we got married on a beautiful yacht in the middle of Lake Tahoe. The wedding was just what we want and was absolutely perfect. I did everything on my own (except taking photographs and officiating the wedding). I did my own makeup, my own hair, and I even did makeup and hair for my maid of honor and cousin; additionally, I was able to create boutineers and bouquets for the bridal party and myself. I must pat myself on my back!!!Anyhow, two years later, we are still on our honeymoon....

Will I be disciplined enough to keep this up?

Well, this is my first blog and I have decided to document some of my profound thoughts. Have you ever had fabulous ideas or very important thoughts about life? Well, I have had many in my 30 years so far, none of which was ever documented. Okay, there were some that were written in a so-called diary when I was much younger but those don't count, right?

Well, a little more aobut myself: in my 30 years so far, I have lived in Europe, Asia, and North America. Besides traveling around the globe, I have gotten an MBA from Boston, found the perfect man, and purchased our first home here in Silicon Valley, California~ That is the gist of it and we currently share our lives with our two dogs whom we just ADORE and LOVE! What's next, you may ask? Well, babies, of course. Who knows when it will happen but we are just excited about where we are now and we are thrilled to take the next steps.

Well, I would blab on more, but Sex and the City is on now... so post later!
